Set up your fal.ai key

Images, voice output, and video optionally run on fal.ai — chat itself doesn't need it. This step can be done any time later.

What fal.ai is for

Personarium uses fal.ai for images, voices (TTS), and video; text chat runs entirely on OpenRouter. Without a fal.ai key the app still works fine — only these extra features stay switched off until then.

Creating a key

In your fal.ai account, create a new key under fal.ai/dashboard/keys.

Adding the key

In Personarium: at the "Images & Voices" step of the first-run wizard, or later under Settings → Connections, paste the key (it starts with "fal-") and click "Verify & save". Personarium tests the connection right away and then stores the key in your system keychain.

Disconnecting or changing it

You can disconnect or replace the key at any time via Settings → Connections.
